MAYSVILLE — Virginia Dillow Pumpelly, 90, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020.

She was born on Jan. 14, 1930, to the late Lee and Mae (Schwartz) Dillow.

She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and was a charter member of Mason County Homemakers for 70 years. She was a professional seamstress and candy maker who was known especially for her cream candy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Blaine Pumpelly who passed away Nov. 25, 2016.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Pumpelly Mareno of Gulfport, Miss., and Rick Pumpelly of Dover; six grandchildren, Tabitha (Darryl) Thurston of Mclain Miss., Sean (Paige) Conley of St. Augustine, Fla., Kenton (Sara Wagoner) Pumpelly, Tucker (Hannah and daughter Reece), Blaine Pumpelly and Chloe (Zac Alexander) Pumpelly, all of Dover; six great-grandchildren, Trevor Sandridge, Braxton Ponthieux, Austin Ponthieux, Hunter Conley, Kamryn Conley and Layne Alexander; and one great-great-grandchild, Skyler Ponthieux.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Rozenna Germann.

Funeral will be 1 p.m., on Friday at Central United Methodist Church.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m., on Friday at the church.
