The Orangeburg Community Choir under the direction of Mrs. Garnet Trimble, and pianist Vieda Stitt will be having a concert on July 17, at the Orangeburg United Methodist Church at 3 p.m.
The program will feature “An American Tribute to Our Flag”. A special tribute to the armed services past and present along with a taste of gospel music.
Featured soloists will include Joe Clark performing The Star-Spangled Banner, Keith Baldwin performing You Raise Me Up and Marty Voiers performing God Bless the U. S. A.
The Choir will feature a by and by medley which includes We’ll Understand it Better By and By/ When the Saints Go Marching In/I’ll Fly Away; Rugged Cross medley which includes The Old Rugged Cross/My Jesus, I Love Thee; Arms of God medley in which includes Sheltered in the Arms of God/Leaning on the Everlasting Arms.
Patriotic tunes will include Amazing Grace, God Bless America medley, a tribute to the armed services, and God Bless America. Seth Adamson will be doing a recitation of the Olde Flag with the choir performing the background music for this touching presentation.
