A Fleming County man has been indicted by a Mason County grand jury on sex-related charges.
Robert N. Mineer Jr., 42, of Wallingford, was named in the indictment on charges of first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse. According to the indictment, both charges stem from an incident which took place on Sept. 24 when he allegedly “engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with another person who was physically helpless” and “subjected another person to sexual contact who was physically helpless by touching the (private parts) of an unconscious adult male.”
Mineer also faces a charge of second-degree persistent felony offender.
The first charge is punishable by 10-20 years in prison if convicted and the second by one-five years. The third charge could enhance the sentences for the other charges.
Zachery Scott Smith, 24, of Dover, was indicted for first-degree wanton endangerment in conjunction with a Oct. 15 incident when he allegedly fired a gun at another person.
According to the indictment, Smith present “a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to Mark Todd Duncan by pointing a loaded handgun at him and subsequently firing two shots in close proximity to Mr. Duncan.”
Smith is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, a charge that carries one-five years if convicted.
Smith was arrested and lodged in the Mason County Detention Center on Oct. 16 and released the same day. He was scheduled to appear in Mason Circuit Court for arraignment on Nov. 22.
Other indictments handed down included:
Brandon Lee Newdigate, 40, violation of Kentucky EPO/DVO, second-degree robbery and first-degree persistent felony offender. He is scheduled for arraignment on Dec. 13.
John Thomas Shoupe, 41, first-degree possession of a controlled substance oxycodone.
He will be arraigned on Dec. 13.
Richard Douglas Commodore, 56, second offense trafficking in a controlled substance, less than four grams of cocaine. Arraignment is set for Dec. 13.
James Allen Beckett Jr.,, first-degree second offense trafficking in a controlled substance when he was in possession of approximately 12 grams of a mixture of heroin and fentanyl. Beckett is currently free on a $20,000 cash bond.
Walter Adroyal Burch III, 32, driving under the influence of a controlled substance first offense, possession of methamphetamine. He will be arraigned on Dec. 13.
Dillon S. Cracraft, 19, speeding 26 miles per hour or greater over limit, reckless driving, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, DUI (controlled substance) first offense, first-degree possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine. Arraignment is set for Dec. 13.
Andrea Dawn Elliott, 27, first-degree first offense possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft by unlawful taking more than $500 but under $10,000. She is scheduled for arraignment on Dec. 13.
Michelle Lynn Campbell, 44, theft by unlawful taking shoplifting, third-degree criminal trespass, first-degree possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine. She will be arraigned on Dec. 13.
Rodney Reece Rymer Jr., 30, public intoxication, first-degree possession of a controlled substance. Arraignment is set for Dec. 13.
Lena Michelle Hester, 47, first-degree possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine, third-degree possession of a controlled substance alprazolam, possession of marijuana. She will be arraigned on Dec. 13
Buddy A. Thomas, 50, fourth-degree assault. He is free on a $2,000 cash bond.
Rebecca Lynn Smith aka Rebecca Lynn Hedge, 32, public intoxication on a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine. She is scheduled for arraignment on Dec. 13.
April Modine McGowan, 30, third-degree criminal trespassing, operating on a suspended or revoked license, possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree first offense possession of a controlled substance cocaine, theft by unlawful taking gasoline. She will be arraigned on Dec. 13.
Bryan Scott Campbell, 27, bail jumping. He is free on a $10,000 cash bond.
