Comprehend, Inc. has named Lauren Penrose as vice president of Children’s Services.

Penrose has a wealth of experience with Comprehend, having spent the last 15 years serving in various roles in the agency. The latest being the Prevention Program Coordinator for the Regional Prevention Center of Comprehend, administrators said.

As the vice president of Children’s Services, Penrose will continue the success of the department’s programs and services that reach more than 1,200 individuals annually, officials said. She will continue to expand relationships with community partners, raise awareness of children’s behavioral health issues and Comprehend’s services, and further the company’s mission to support children and their families.

Penrose has a masters of education in counseling and human development from Lindsey Wilson College. She is a licensed professional clinical counselor and a Certified Prevention Specialist.

Penrose is a native of Bracken County and currently resides in Maysville with her husband J.B. Penrose and their two sons.
