MRS. HALFHILL

MAYSVILLE – Adalyn “Speck” Halfhill, 95, of Maysville, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. She was the widow of Lloyd Calvin “L C” Halfhill. Mrs. Halfhill was a member of the Orangeburg Christian Church where she loved to sing in the church choir.

She was an avid golfer, an avid fan of the Mason County Royal Basketball team and also the UK Wildcats Basketball team and a member of the Mason County Homemakers and a Kentucky Colonel. Adalyn was born in Murphysville, on July 20, 1923, the daughter of the late Ollie and Nancy Adams Frodge.

She is survived by two daughters, Vicki Whitmore and Andrea Tolle, eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Besides her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Harold Halfhill and by three siblings.

Funeral services for Adalyn Halfhill will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2019.

Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service.
