MR. PARKER

MAYSVILLE — Albert M. “Bubby” Parker, 82, a resident of the Lewisburg community, died Friday, May 23, 2008 at his residence.

Mr. Parker retired from Emerson Power Transmission after 46 years of service. He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran of World War II. having served in the South Pacific Theater and the occupation of Japan.

Mr. Parker was a member of the Lewisburg Baptist Church and a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge.

He was born in Clinton County, Ohio, on June 22, 1925, the son of the late Martin and Hallie Watson Parker.

He is survived by his wife, Nolean Hutchison Parker whom he married on Nov. 13, 1946; one daughter, Judy K. (Dan) Rees of Nicholas County; and two grandchildren, John Rees and Dana Rees.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Bea Jenson, Marie Pollitt and Frances Gee.

Services for Bubby Parker will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2008, with Rev. Timothy Billups officiating. Masonic rites precede services at 1:30 p.m.

Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Maynard, Kevin Maynard, Chris Maynard, Roy Alvin Hutchinson, Jerry Jefferson, Jim Pierce and Roy Doyle.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from noon until the hour of the service.
