Keith left Day with his mother, who in turn called 911 for assistance, after Keith drove away.

Day died, and his autopsy indicated heroin and ethanol intoxication.

Police later located Keith, who was indicted Aug. 13, on two counts of involuntary manslaughter, and a count each of corrupting another with drugs, trafficking heroin, trafficking drugs and assembly of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs.

On Oct. 5, Keith pled guilty to a count of involuntary manslaughter, with a specification for forfeiture of her vehicle.

On Wednesday, Keith was sentenced to four years in prison and a recommendation for substance abuse program participation. The remaining charges were dismissed and her Chevrolet Prizm was forfeited.
