SEAMAN, Ohio — Members of the Brown County and Adams County Prosecutor’s Offices are joining together to continue to help inform the public about April being Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

The offices have organized a Sexual Abuse Victory Event, as part if the Crime Victim Assistance Program, featuring a presentation by Mike Pistorino, an abuse survivor, officials said.

On April 15, Pistorino will speak during the SAVE program, which will include a silent auction, Yoga and Zumba session, informational booths, and survivor testimonials.

Activities begin at 6 p.m., at North Adams Elementary School, in Seaman, and Pistorino will speak 7 – 8 p.m.

“This is the third year we have done this. Families are encouraged to attend SAVE,” said Kimberly Newman, coordinator. “Auction donations may be left at either county courthouse, in Georgetown, Ohio, or West Union, Ohio, or at North Adams Elementary School on Moores Road.”

Anyone who needs more information or wants to donate items to the auction should contact Newman at ACPO, at 937-544-3600.

Proceeds of the event got toward victim assistance.
