GEORGETOWN, Ohio | A man was indicted for rape, stalking and assault by Brown County grand jury on Thursday.
Joshua William Covert, 18, allegedly made his victim submit to sexual conduct by force or threat of force on Dec. 9, 2011, according to court records. He was charged with rape, a first-degree felony as well as eight other charges including one count each of aggravated menacing and menacing by stalking, both first-degree misdemeanors. Additionally, he was charged with four counts of attempted felonious assault, third-degree felonies and one first-degree misdemeanor for assault.
Covert is being held in the Brown County Detention Center under a $60,000 bond, according to officials.
Also named in other indictments:
— Leon Thompson, 33, for allegedly assaulting Mount Orab Police Officer Ryan Gregory, a fourth-degree felony; and for aggravated menacing and assault, both first-degree misdemeanor.
On Dec. 17, 2011, Thompson allegedly threatened or attempted to caused harm to another person, according to court reports. Thompson is in Brown County Detention Center with a $50,000 bond.
— Jayminkumar Dhirumbhai Patal, seven counts of aggravated drug trafficking of K2 spice and bath salts from Nov. 22 to Dec. 5, 2011. Two of the charges are fifth-degree felonies, and five charges are fourth-degree felonies of aggravated drug trafficking.
— Gilbert W. Hall, one count of aggravated trafficking oxycodone, a fourth-degree felony. He was allegedly found with the drug on July 22, 2011.
— Raydean Gulley, illegal manufacture of and selling of methamphetamine, a first-degree felony, while using a Blue Yamaha ATV and a Red Honda generator as instrumental in the commission of the felony, according to court reports.
— Jessica White allegedly helped Stacie Ertel during the theft of credit cards, two fourth-degree felonies for complicity to theft and forgery.
— Stacie Ertel allegedly helped Jessica White during the theft of credit cards, two fourth-degree felonies for complicity to theft and forgery.
— Paul Clevenger, domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. He caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a family member on Dec. 3, 2011.
— Noah Charles Hudson allegedly failed to register his address when he moved in October 2011. He is required to report a move because of a prior conviction with a serious sexual oriented offense of a victim.
— Freda L. Carnes, one count of deception to obtain a prescription drug, a fourth-degree felony. Carnes allegedly forged prescriptions or procured dangerous drugs on Dept. 24, 2009.
— Donald Souder, one count of selling opana, and one count of complicity to sell drugs with Tabatha Souder, both fourth-degree felonies.
— Tabatha Souder, one count of selling Oxycontin, a fourth-degree felony.
— Jeffrey Mack, burglary, a fourth-degree felony. Mack, allegedly entered the temporary home of Tabitha Davis by stealth or force.
— Randal Mullins, two counts of assaulting a police officer, fourth-degree felonies, and one count of resisting arrest, a first-degree misdemeanor. Mullins allegedly attempted to cause or caused physical harm to Sgt. Shawn Inlow of the Georgetown Police Department on Dec. 18, 2011, while resisting arrest.
— Marc Wachter, one count of domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. Wachter allegedly caused or attempted physical harm to a family member on Dec. 14, 2011.
