FLEMINGSBURG — Graveyards, ghosts, murders, haunted houses, ghostly lights and screams will be the theme at the Fleming County Covered Bridge Museum on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 2 p.m., when Kentucky author Lynwood Montell shares Civil War stories of the supernatural kind.
Much of Kentucky’s rich historical legacy is preserved in ghost stories and Montell will discuss the historic value of hearing and preserving Kentucky’s verbal legacy. He is the author of 25 books, including Ghosts of the Bluegrass, Don’t Go Up Kettle Creek, Tales from Kentucky Funeral Homes, Tales From Kentucky Doctors, Tales from Kentucky One-Room School Teachers and Kentucky Ghost Stories. His teaching career includes positions at Campbellsville College, Western Kentucky, and briefly at UCLA and the University of Notre Dame.
