Dear Editor,
I have known Charles T. Cotterill for more than 40 years. He has been a neighbor, employee, fellow downtown business owner but most importantly my friend. Charles is one of the most honest and caring person I have ever had the privilege of knowing, and the people of Maysville would be lucky to have him as their mayor.
Throughout our relationship, I have witnessed Charles taking meals to shut-ins, buying Christmas presents for less fortunate children and donating to countless causes. He does this without fanfare or in front of a crowd, simply because he is a caring person. He cares about the citizens of Maysville and their standard of living. He wants to see better paying jobs with more benefits so more people can provide for their children without struggling
Honesty, integrity and fairness are important qualities, and Charles exudes all of these. When Charles and I were working together, a gentleman came into the store, looking to sell an old jug for $50. Charles looked at the jug and told him he was going to do much better, and gave him $1,500. He could’ve taken advantage, but he did not. He is incredibly honest and fair with everyone he meets.
It’s time for a change in Maysville, and Charles T. Cotterill will be honest and fair to all the people of Maysville. I encourage you to cast your vote for Charles T. Cotterill for mayor of Maysville on Nov. 6.
Sincerely,
Kevin McRoberts
Maysville
