I spoke with David Doyle, who is running for Maysville City Commissioner, 2 weeks ago, and have been remiss in sending my letter of recommendation. I surely hope it’s not too late!
I have known David for over 40 years and have found him to be an extremely hard working individual, very level-headed and with excellent leadership qualities. While David’s having lived in Maysville for only 3 years could be a hindrance, I tend to think it is more of a positive advantage.
Small towns have their own ‘vibe’ of inter-connectedness which can sometimes be a deterrent when running for office.
In my opinion, David could be much more objective than someone who’s lived in Maysville a very long time and knows where ‘all the skeletons are buried.’ David is a businessman, not a politician, and I believe he would have an unbiased approach to things coming before the City Commission.
