Roberts will bring a new voice to Frankfort

Dear editor:

As the November 6th General Election draws near, the registered voters in Bracken, Pendleton, and Campbell counties have the opportunity to send a new voice, and more importantly, a resounding message to directly change the broken policies that we saw come out of Frankfort this past legislative session. We have a candidate who is an established community leader, a small business owner and entrepreneur, a nationally recognized speaker, and a woman who has never met a stranger. Rachel Roberts is that candidate and I would endorse her candidacy without hesitation and ask that you please do the same.

Our current majority leaders in Frankfort, starting in the Governor’s office and trickling down into the Senate and House, have been trying to decimate our public education system, our teachers, public employees, fire fighters, police officers, and first responders pension systems, and almost to add insult to injury, have been doing this while hurling constant insults and ridicules. How are we electing leaders who are calling our teachers thugs and selfish, while also suggesting a teacher protest caused children to be sexually assaulted? When I was growing up in Bracken and Mason Counties, there was no one more respected than our current and past educators and local officers and I truly don’t believe that has changed in today’s world.

Rachel is working tirelessly to be that candidate who will bring the change we need in Frankfort. She doesn’t believe our district only consists of urban Campbell County districts. She’s campaigned extensively throughout our district for almost a year. She’s been inside living rooms in Chatham and Johnsville, in Willow and Neave, in Peach Grove and Mount Auburn, in California and Melbourne. Her opponent has been on record saying he only needs to worry about Campbell County because that’s where his voters are. That’s not what we need in a Kentucky Senator. What we need is a fresh vision from a businessperson who will represent 100 percent of their district fairly. Who we need is Rachel Roberts and I ask that you help send her to Frankfort on Tuesday, November 6th. Thank you.
