MAYSVILLE | William “Bill” Skaggs, 50, of Burlington, died Tuesday. He was a Maysville native.
Bill dedicated most of his adult life working as an Activity Assistant at Carmel Manor in Fort Thomas, and Rosedale Manor in Latonia.
An avid songwriter and performer, Bill used his talents and love of music for everything from entertaining Manor residents and their families to playing Conrad Birdie in the Maysville Player’s production of “Bye Bye Birdie.” He would perform Christmas concerts at Assisted Living facilities throughout the Greater Cincinnati area.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Aubry and Betty Ennis Skaggs of Maysville.
He is survived by two sisters, Lyn Dorgan of Burlington, and Susan Litzinger of Winchester; and a brother, Kelly Skaggs of Maysville.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Maysville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Bill’s name to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
