BROOKSVILLE — Joseph Allen “Al” Bauer, 70, of Brooksville , died Friday, March 22,2019 at his home.

Mr Bauer was retired after co-owning Bauer Bros garage for 36 years with his brother, Bill and worked there with his brother and father, Adrian starting in 1959. He also enjoyed doing the following in his spare time:

Running go-cart races at Germantown Fairgrounds, coaching Milford Little League baseball (one of original coaches), taught 4-H small engine classes,member of Bracken County Historical Society, Trump supporter, and his family genealogy work.

He was born in Brooksville, Oct. 7, 1948, to the late Adrian and Ruth Jones Bauer.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy Clos Bauer and his two sons, Chris Bauer (Jennifer) of Minerva, and Kevin Bauer (Kristi) of Morehead. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Lauren, Brennan, Aaron, Baylen, Cameron, Bria Bauer; and his siblings, Bill Bauer (Brenda), Elaine Douglas (Rick) and Anita Ellen “Sis” Dodson (Tim).

Mass of Christian Burial at St James Church Brooksville, at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 26 followed by burial in St James cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, March 25 from 6-9 p.m., with rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Moore and Parker Funeral Home in Brooksville.

Memorials May be made to St James Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund or Bracken County Historical Society.
