License testing has resumed at the Mason County Circuit Clerk’s office.
Mason County Circuit Clerk Kirk Tolle said written and driver’s testing is available by appointment on Thursdays at the courthouse.
According to Tolle, in order to take a written test, individuals must be at least 16 years of age to take a written permit test. If the applicant is under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign the application form and the applicant must have a school compliance verification form.
In order to take the road skill test, the application must have a copy of their birth certificate and social security card and proof of Kentucky residency.
Anyone entering the courthouse will be required to wear a facial covering, according to Tolle.
“You will have to have a mask when entering the courthouse and while taking your road test,” he said. “The individual conducting the test will be wearing a variety of PPE equipment.”
