FLEMINGSBURG — Fleming and Lewis counties each have two new confirmed COVID-19 cases for a total of four in the county.

According to the Fleming County Health Department, two cases were confirmed on Wednesday morning. No information was given on the individuals. However, the department is working on contact tracing for both cases.

“During these times, we want to remind all residents of the best public health practices to stop the spread of the disease and to protect our most vulnerable community members,” the health department posted.

According to the department, healthy guidelines set forth by the state of Kentucky include:

— Stay home if ill.

— Avoid large crowds and gatherings.

— Practice physical distancing, which means staying six feet apart.

— Wash hands and surfaces frequently.

— Wear a face covering in public.

— Monitoring symptoms and remember to seek medical attention if needed.

In Lewis County, there are now nine confirmed cases. No information was available on the individuals, but health department officials said they are contract tracing the cases.

Other cases include:

— In Mason County, there are 16 confirmed cases with 10 recovered.

— In Bracken County, there are 13 confirmed cases.

— In Brown County, Ohio, there are 32 confirmed cases with one death.

— In Adams County, Ohio, there are 12 confirmed cases with one death.

— There are no reported cases in Robertson County.
