GEORGETOWN, Ohio — Four Ohio residents were recently sentenced by Brown County Court of Common Pleas Judge Scott T. Gusweiler.

Christopher Browning, 27, of Sardinia, Ohio, was indicted in May of last year, where he was charged with first-degree burglary with a firearm, fourth-degree trespass in a habitation with firearm specification, aggravated menacing and intimidation of an attorney victim or witness in a criminal case.

Browning entered a guilty plea to the burglary charge on Feb. 14, which was amended to a second-degree charge.

Gusweiler sentenced Browning to four years confinement in the Ohio Department of Corrections. Browning was also notified that post release control is optional for three years. All other charges were dismissed, along with the firearms specifications to the burglary charge.

Ronald Petrey, 28, of Amelia, Ohio, was also indicted in May of last year, and was charged with fifth-degree aggravated possession of drugs and possession of drug abuse instruments, a first-degree misdemeanor. Petrey entered a guilty plea to the drug possession charge before the common pleas court on Feb. 15.

Gusweiler sentenced Petrey to 10 months confinement in the Ohio Department of Corrections, to be served concurrently with the sentences imposed on Petrey in Clermont County. Petrey was also notified that post release control is optional for three years.

Other sentencing handed down include,

— Roxanne Barbara Bourg Hayes, sentenced to serve 22 months in the Ohio Department of Corrections for violation of community control.

— Timothy Collins, 42, of Georgetown, Ohio, sentenced to two years of community control for third-degree aggravated possession of drugs.
