Maysville Goodwill opening Thursday

The Maysville Goodwill is stocked and ready for its opening on Thursday.

Gently-used clothes, household items, books and other merchandise are just a few of the items offered at the store’s 505 Market Place Drive location in Maysville, company officials said Tuesday.

“We are proud to serve the Maysville community by expanding our Goodwill Donated Goods Center and continuing to change the lives of people with disabilities or other disadvantages through employment,” said Roland Blahnik, president and CEO of Goodwill Industries of Kentucky.

Doors will open at 9 a.m. to shoppers. Donations are accepted daily.

The center employs 13 and is about 13,000 square feet. An easily accessed donation drive-thru is also available. Hours for the center are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 1 to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Goodwill accepts a variety of donations, including gently-used clothing and other household items for resale in its retail stores. Donations are tax deductible and receipts are available.
