The shelter area in the distance is the starting point for users of the Bracken Creek Trail system on Gillespie Road in Bracken County. The trails, for equestrians and hikers, are 20 miles long and traverse hills and wooded areas near the Bracken County Industrial Park property.
Visitors, with a valid Kentucky fishing license, can also take a chance at fishing in two lakes on the site.
A 12.59 acre tract on another section of the site is being sold to Omni Materials Incorporated.
