FLEMINGSBURG | Fleming County Court Days sponsored by the Fleming County Rotary Association will be Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 10 and 11, 2015.
The day will begin with the Fleming County 4-H 5K Run/2 Mile Walk on Oct. 10 at 8 a.m. (check in starts at 7 a.m.) starting and ending at the Dairy Queen in Flemingsburg. For more information contact the Fleming County Extension Office at 606-849-4805.
There will be a Beauty Pageant Saturday, Oct. 10, with registration beginning at 11 a.m., and the pageant beginning at 11:30 a.m., at the Court Days Stage. For more information on the pageant, please contact Sarah Cropper at 606-748-5743.
Music will be a large part of this year’s event. Artists scheduled to perform on Saturday are: Blackout at 1 p.m.; Neutral Shock at 2 p.m.; to be announced at 3 p.m.; and Pure Gold at 4 p.m. The Country Boys Band will perform Saturday night for the Street Dance starting at 6 p.m.
On Sunday the following artist are scheduled to perform: Mackenzie Purvis at 1 p.m.; After 4T at 2 p.m.; May’s Lick Lighthouse Praise at 3 p.m.; and Solid Ground at 4 p.m.
New this year will be a Pet Show sponsored by Lasting Impressions on Sunday, Oct. 11, at noon. For more information contact Jennifer at Lasting Impressions at 606-845-0103.
There will also be the second annual Duck Derby sponsored by the Fleming County High School baseball team in the Town Branch on Sunday, Oct. 11. The race will start at 2 p.m., at the City Park and end behind City Hall. The cost per duck is $5 each with prizes given for first place, second place and the lame duck for individuals. They will also have a duck race for businesses. The cost per duck is $100 each. The winner will receive a cash prize to be donated to the charity of their choice.
