Kentucky State Police Trooper Anson Blake Tribby was killed in a car crash on I-64 in Clark County Tuesday around 7 p.m.  He is the son of former Maysville PD and Commonwealth’s Attorney Investigator Bob Tribby and Pam Tribby, who works at Hospice of Hope.

According to early reports, Blake Tribby was in his personal vehicle while traveling on I-64 when the accident happened. 

Trooper Tribby, Unit 387, attended Mason County High School and graduated in 2005. He attended the University of Kentucky and graduated in 2009 with a major in psychology. He graduated from the Kentucky State Police Academy on Sept. 17, 2010 as a member of Cadet Class No.88.

In May 2012, he was recognized by his superiors at KSP Post 8 in Morehead when he was named for the Trooper Award.  He was recognized for his achievement during 2011 at which he excelled at Post 8 in self-motivated activity; issuing 1,328 citations, 134 of which were seat belt violations, made 36 DUI arrests (led Post 8), opened 50 criminal cases, and made 183 criminal arrests. According to his superiors, Trooper Tribby  demonstrated on many levels his dedication to the Kentucky State Police and his enthusiasm for his duties. Trooper Tribby’s friendly demeanor and professional behavior, both on and off-duty,  quickly earned him respect and an excellent rapport in the community, and supported a positive image for the agency.
