Dear editor,

It is my honor and privilege to write to you today in support of the election of District Judge Jeff Schumacher.

I have known Jeff Schumacher since he was a child growing up across the street from my home As a teenager he worked hard and was already ready, able and willing to assist others, whether it was by mowing an elderly neighbor’s yard, shoveling their snow, or any other service that was required, He carried that work ethic into his legal career, aiding others in need and handling legal work for local law enforcement and firefighters without charge.

He learned the practice of law from one of Maysville’s finest attorneys, the late John W. McNeill, and his abilities and attention to detail serve him well in his duties as our current district judge. He worked as an assistant prosecutor in district court for John Estill and then represented criminal defendants in district court. Having now been serving as district judge, he is uniquely qualified for the office, having experience in all areas of district court.

Jeff Schumacher’s legal abilities, combined with his organizational and computer skills, has made him a very efficient judge while hearing the concerns of all litigants. All I can say is that his vast experience makes Jeff Schumacher the clear choice for district judge on Nov. 6.

I urge the citizens of Bracken, Fleming and Mason counties to join me in voting to keep District Judge Jeff Schumacher working for us in District Court.

Sincerely,

Bill Boggs

Maysville
