The students, faculty and staff of Maysville Community and Technical College will soon be able to enjoy a new restaurant on the Maysville campus. Locally owned and operated, Bubby’s Burgers will open in the café area of the Calvert Center beginning Monday, Aug. 20.
“I had recently considered looking for a second location at the top of the hill in Maysville,” says Bubby’s Burgers owner, Chris Myrick. “When I learned the campus location was available I knew I’d found the perfect spot to expand my business.”
The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is expected to serve all of the favorites you would expect from Bubby’s including their world famous White Light burgers. The campus location will be open to the community as well.
“We are excited to have Bubby’s Burgers join us on campus” say’s Barb Campbell, MCTC Chief Financial Officer. “They were chosen through a competitive RFP (request for proposal) process. The addition of Bubby’s Burgers is part of a college-wide strategy to enhance student activities and on-campus life. We also hope that having Bubby’s here will give those in our community another reason to stop by, have lunch and see everything that has changed the past few years.”
A ribbon-cutting event is being planned for Wednesday, Aug. 22 at 10 a.m. at the new location.
Parking is available near the Technical Building on the Maysville Campus. Students, faculty and staff as well as the community are invited to attend.
