MOUNT OLIVET — The annual Fourth of July celebration will be held June 29-30 in Robertson County.
The event begins on June 29 with baby show and little Mr. and Miss contest registration at 6 p.m. The pageants begin at 6:30 p.m.
At 7 p.m., there will be music by The Moonshiners Band with Bingo starting at the same time. The music will end at 11 p.m.
On Saturday, June 30, the day begins at 5 p.m. with parade lineup, followed by the parade at 5:30 p.m. The grand marshall will be the Robertson County basketball team.
At 6:15 p.m., there will be a Terrapin race. Registration for the race is free. There will be prizes for best-decorated container, smallest Terrapin, largest Terrapin, slowest racer and fastest racer available.
Spencer Creek will play at 7 p.m., with Bingo at the same time.
The event ends with fireworks at 11 p.m.
Those attending are asked to bring their own lawn chairs and no one is allowed to bring personal fireworks.
