Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials said motorists should be aware that Kentucky 576, Tuckahoe Road will be closed in Mason County from Friday, May 17 through Monday, May 20 to allow a contractor for KYTC to make a slip repair.

Beginning at 7 a.m., Friday, crews will close Kentucky 576/Tuckahoe Road between Kentucky 8 and Lee’s Creek Road (milepoint 4.3) to repair a slip near milepoint 6.23. Kentucky 576 will be restricted to local traffic beyond Lee’s Creek Road (milepoint 4.3) but drivers will not be able to access the road from Kentucky 8.

Motorists can travel around the closure via Kentucky 8, Kentucky 1597/Charleston Bottoms Road and Kentucky 3056/Germantown Road.

Drivers should expect delays and avoid the area if possible. When approaching the work zone, motorists should slow down and use extra caution.

All work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
