Two people were arrested Thursday after the Maysville Police Department conducted a raid on a house on Buckner Street in Maysville’s East End.

MPD officers and members of the Emergency Response Team executed a narcotics search warrant at the residence at 428 Buckner Street late Thursday afternoon. During the search, police said multiple individuals and narcotics were found inside the home.

Multiple people were led out of the home in handcuffs and placed in a police van as a large crowd looked on, according to several videos of the event posted on Facebook Thursday. Because of the number of people who were present inside the house when the warrant was served they were detained while the search was completed, according to Maysville Police Chief Ron Rice.

Deborah Polley, 56, and Anthony Silvey, 33, both of Maysville, were arrested and each charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance. Polley’s charge was for drug unspecified while Silvey’s was for heroin.

Both Polley and Silvey were lodged in the Mason County Detention Center where they remained Friday morning — Silvey on a $10,000 cash bond and Polley on a $5,000 cash bond. Both are scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Mason District Court.

The case remains under investigation by MPD Officer Michael Parsons and Detective Chris Conley. MPD and ERT was assisted at the scene by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone with information about drug activity is urged to contact MPD at 606-564-9411.
