WEST UNION, Ohio – A man charged with murder in Adams County has had his bond set.

Jesse Williams, 20, of Peebles, Ohio, was arrested by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office after allegedly shooting and killing his friend, who was 17 years old.

According to reports, authorities were called to the scene at 2454 Measley Ridge Road in Peebles at around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office said that the dispute allegedly occurred as a result of an argument between Williams and the minor, whose name is not being released by police.

According to reports, drugs were not involved in the incident.

Williams faces one count of second-degree murder and one count of tampering with evidence. His bond was set at $255,000 on the murder charge and $35,000 on the tampering with evidence charge.

Williams is currently being held in the Adams County Jail. His next court appearance will be on June 1 at 11 a.m.
