ROBERTSON COUNTY 93, BRACKEN COUNTY 57 (BOYS) (TUESDAY)

The Black Devils keep on rolling.

Robertson County jumped out to a 30-10 lead on Bracken County on Tuesday in Brooksville and never looked back as they put a running clock on the Polar Bears to improve to 3-0, winning by an average margin of 32.6 points in those games.

Justin Becker led five Black Devils in double figures with 20 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Sebastian Dixon scored 18 points, Ross Becker with 16 points and seven rebounds, Joshua Pilosky with 12 and Tanner Horn adding 11.

Blake Reed led the Polar Bears with 28 points, Jhace Cummins adding 12 in the loss as they dropped to 1-3 on the year.

Robertson County faces St. Patrick on Friday at home while Bracken County hosts Union County on Friday.

FLEMING COUNTY 67, MENIFEE COUNTY 56 (BOYS) (TUESDAY)

After trailing 34-29 at half, Fleming County turned to its defense to pull out a 67-56 victory in a 61st District matchup with Menifee County, Tuesday night in Flemingsburg.

Larkin McKee led the Panthers with 18 points and added eight rebounds to go with it as the Panthers improved to 2-1 on the year. Johnny Maher had 15 points and seven rebounds while Sam Johnson chipped in 11 points and eight rebounds in the win.

The Panthers held Menifee to 29 percent from the field for the game.

Fleming County plays at Fairview on Friday when they return to play.

LEWIS COUNTY 62, EAST CARTER 54 (BOYS) (TUESDAY)

Lewis County is headed to the EKC Championship on Thursday as they got 35 points from Sam O’Keefe in a 62-54 win over East Carter, Tuesday at Rowan County.

O’Keefe added 12 rebounds as the Lions will take on Rowan County in Morehead, Thursday at 8 p.m.

The win gets Lewis County to 3-1, winning their last three ball games.

AUGUSTA 64, FAYETTEVILLE-PERRY (OHIO) 45 (BOYS) (TUESDAY)

Augusta won their third game in five days with a 19-point victory over visiting Fayetteville-Perry (Ohio), Tuesday at the Panthers Den.

Kason Hinson led the way with 18 points while Preston Philpot added 13 and Sam Appelman 10 in the victory.

Augusta jumped out to a 44-28 halftime lead and maintained the double-digit advantage throughout the second half, leading by as much as 31.

“I thought the boys played very well tonight and ran their offense,” Panthers coach Jason Hinson said. “They played great team ball, and we were able to rest some guys again tonight and get ready for Raceland.”

Augusta plays at Raceland on Thursday.

BRACKEN COUNTY 45, ROBERTSON COUNTY 40 (GIRLS) (MONDAY)

Lady Bears coach Taylor Alstatt got his first career win at the varsity level with a 45-40 win over the Lady Devils on Monday in Brooksville.

The 45-point output was the highest of the season so far for Bracken County, improving to 1-3 on the year.

They return to action on Wednesday when they play at Bishop Brossart.

Molly Hester led the Lady Devils with 16 points, Abri Roberts adding 11 and Emma Courtney tossing in 10 as Robertson County dropped to 0-3 on the season. They’ll look to get their first win on Thursday in their home opener against Augusta.

LEWIS COUNTY 44, BATH COUNTY 38 (GIRLS) (MONDAY)

After dropping their quarterfinal matchup in the EKC Tournament on Saturday to Morgan County, Lewis County got a consolation round win over Bath County on Monday at Rowan County.

Sarah Paige Weddington and Cheyenne D’Souza scored 18 points each as the Lady Lions got their first win of the season, improving to 1-3. They’ll have a little break now, not returning to action until December 17 when they host West Carter.

MANCHESTER 63, LUCASVILLE VALLEY 30 (GIRLS) (MONDAY)

Brooke Kennedy poured in 29 points as the Lady Hounds won their third straight game in a 33-point win over Lucasville Valley on Monday.

Hannah Hobbs added nine points while Emily Sweeney and Sophia Paul each had seven as the Lady Hounds improved to 3-2 on the season.

Manchester used a big second quarter to pull away, outscoring Valley 21-8 to take a 29-17 lead into halftime. After taking a 40-27 lead into the fourth, they then held Valley to three points in the fourth to pull away.

They return to action on Thursday when they host Lynchburg-Clay.

GEORGETOWN 59, EAST CLINTON 45 (GIRLS) (MONDAY)

Torie Utter scored 30 points and Maddi Benjamin made her season debut coming off an injury with nine points and 10 rebounds as the Lady G-Men topped East Clinton in a SBAAC league contest.

Trailing 19-15 at the half, Georgetown outscored East Clinton 44-26 in the second half to improve to 3-3 on the year and 2-2 in league play.

The Lady G-Men now have a nine day break until they host Fayetteville-Perry on December 18.
