LAUREL OAKS TWO-MAN TOURNAMENT

Laurel Oaks will be hosting a two-man tournament on June 29 with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The tournament format is best ball holes 1-6, scramble play holes 7-12 and alternate shot holes 13-18. Cost is $200 entry fee per team and a $10 flighted skins game. Teams will be pre-flighted by the tournament committee with a 100% payout. Registration ends June 28. MCTC SCHOLARSHIP SCRAMBLE

Maysville Community and Technical College will hold their 28th annual Scholarship Golf Scramble Friday, July 12 at Laurel Oaks at 1 p.m. The scramble uses proceeds to benefit the MCTC Foundation scholarship fund for students.

The participation fee is $75 per player, which includes green fees, cart rental, and lunch. Teams are capped at 6 per team, golfers are encouraged to bring their own team and individual golfers will be assigned teams by the golf committee.

Cash and merchandise prizes will be awarded to 1st-3rd place teams plus a 4th place team blind draw and a split-the-pot drawing. Every participant will be eligible to win a door prize.

Various individual hole prizes will be awarded and the hole-in-one prize provided by McFarland Chevrolet Buick. There will also be a raffle that will be drawn after the completion of the scramble and an auction will follow. To register contact Cara Clarke at 606-759-7141 ext. 66176. ST. PATRICK CROSS COUNTRY

St. Patrick cross country practice for grades 2-12 will start July 15, 8 a.m., at the Tom Browning Boys & Girls Club on Maple Leaf Rd. Grades 2-6 need to bring their middle school sports physical and health insurance. Grades 7-12 need to bring their high school sports physical and health insurance.
