Throwback Thursday

With the Major League Baseball draft being held this week, I thought this picture will bring back some memories. Ronnie Lyons who is second from left holding the bat was drafted by the New York Mets in 1970. Ronnie chose the hardwood over the diamond as he played for the UK Basketball squad. This is a picture from the 1968 Mason County season. Pictured from left to right: Coach Jim Mitchell, Lyons, Mike Gardner and Tommy Corde. -
