Shawn Armstrong of South Point, Ohio, completed a Mason County double on Sunday when he won the rain-shortened Laurel Oaks Classic at Laurel Oaks Golf Course.
Armstrong, who was medalist with a 67 on Saturday, shot a 34 before rain washed out the final nine holes for the championship flight Sunday. His 101 total was four strokes ahead of Drew Traxel, Rick Hensley and Matthew Grayson, who tied for second with 105s.
Armstrong, who won the Firecracker at Kenton Station Golf Course over the July 4 weekend, completed a sweep of the major tournaments of Mason County’s two regulation-length public courses.
