MAYSVILLE — Howard D. Wilson, 78, of Maysville, passed away Monday, Feb. 10, 2020, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center.

Born in Fleming County on July 23, 1941, he was the son of the late Jesse Lamoine Wilson and Rhoda Orme Wilson.

Howard retired from Dayton Power and Light, J.M. Stuart Station as an electrician. He was a member of the New Life Church of Christ. He loved his wife, his children, and his grandchildren. He loved bowling and being outdoors, whether fishing or just sitting on the patio. His hobbies included going to auctions and collecting marbles. He enjoyed watching TV game shows – his favorites being Wheel of Fortune, The Price Is Right and Let’s Make A Deal.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 55 years, Amanda Faye Gilbert Wilson; his children, Anthony Wilson and wife Stephanie, Katrina Wilson Hunt, and Lucinda Wilson; his grandchildren, Zachary Himes, Andrew Hunt, Savannah Wilson, Levi Hunt and Claire Wilson. He is also survived by his twin brother, Harold Wilson and wife Martha; and many loved nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Hannah Abigail Wilson; his sisters, Frances Carpenter and Rosemary Himes; and a niece and nephew.

Service will be 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 14, at New Life Church of Christ with Bro. Darren Fizer officiating.

Howard will be laid to rest in Esham Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Thursday, at the church located at 374 Helena Road, Flemingsburg.

In place of flowers, memorial donations can also be made to Sugarloaf Christian Camp, (637 Prater Road, Wallingford, Kentucky 41093).
