MAYSVILLE — Martha Sue Wills, 76, of Costa Mesa, Calif., and formerly of Maysville, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, Jan. 10, 2020.

Ms. Wills will be remembered by those who knew her as energetic, fun-loving, and adventurous. Those who met her were charmed by her vitality and enthusiasm and she was interested in everyone and everything. She will be missed by those who knew her well.

Ms. Wills was raised in rural Harrison County before relocating to Mason County and Maysville with her family. She was a 1961 graduate of Maysville High School and a former member of both Central and Trinity United Methodist Churches in Maysville. Ms. Wills was a former teacher’s aide at Woodleigh and Jones Elementary, a former director of Mary Kay cosmetics and finished her career as a licensed massage therapist in Florida and Texas. She relocated to California three years ago to be close to her eldest son and resided in the Coastal Heights Luxury Senior Living Residence in Costa Mesa for the last two years. There she enjoyed close friends and an active social life with her fellow residents and staff at the center.

She was preceded in death by her birth mother, Virginia Mullikin; her parents, Ollie and Nancy Fryman; and her brother, Kenneth T. Fryman.

She is survived by two sons, Russell Muse (Ali Mor) of Irvine, Calif., and Todd Muse (Pam) of Kingsport, Tenn.; as well as two granddaughters, Meredith and Mallory.

A memorial service will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020 at noon with visitation beginning at 11 a.m, until the hour of the service.
