FLEMINGSBURG — Jenny W. Landreth, 86, of Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home.

She was the widow of Lester Gordon Landreth.

Born in Maysville on June 20, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Forrest Whitaker Wheeler and Vivian May Whalen Wheeler.

Jenny had a great interest in history and genealogy. She was a member of the Fleming County Historical Society and Mason County Genealogical Society. She loved music, teaching many local persons piano and being a member of the Golden Chord Singers. She was a member of the Flemingsburg Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Lester Daniel “Danny” Landreth of Augusta and Samuel Gordon “Sam” Landreth and wife, Sharon, of Poplar Grove; her grandchildren, Haley (Brandon) Figgins, Nathaniel Gordon Landreth, Matthew Kirby (Staci) Landreth and Justin Allen (Krystal) Gilliam; and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Walter “Cap” Wheeler and wife, Evelyn, of Mason County; her sisters, Violet Jolly of Mason County, Marceline McDowell of South Carolina and Madeline Ruf of Cold Springs.

In addition to her parents and her husband Lester, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Robert Daniel Landreth; her sister, Alberta Silvey; her brother, Charles Wheeler; and her daughter-in-law, Sheila Landreth.

Service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 14 at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Brown and Bro. Herbie Stallard officiating.

Jenny will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
