MAYSVILLE — Emery Clay Vice, 95, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 30, 2019.

He had spent the last 2 years in North Carolina with his oldest son, Rick and his family.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Alice Dryden Vice; his father and mother, Chessie Owen Vice and Sarah Kingsolver Vice; his three older brothers, Carl, Frank and Merrill; as well as his twin sister, Emma V. Fritz.

He is survived by his children Richard Lee Vice, Sara Alice Vice Coates and John Mark Vice; along with eight grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

He was a life-long farmer in the May’s Lick area.

Emery was active in his church, the May’s Lick Lions Club and the Gideons International.

A memorial service will be held at Victory Christian Center on Saturday, May 25 at 10 a.m., located at 719 US Hwy 62, Maysville, KY. Officiating will be Pastor Byron Mills, Emery’s spiritual advisor, pastor and friend.

A private graveside ceremony in the Maysville Cemetery will precede the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations can be made in Emery’s name to the Gideons organization or to Victory Christian Center.
