AUGUSTA — Martha Frances (nee Moran) Moore, 84, of Augusta, died Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Maysville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse James Moore Jr. who died on Feb. 13, 2005.
Martha was born in Mason County on Aug. 15, 1934 to her parents, the late Steven and Anna Belle (nee Mofford) Moran.
Until her retirement, she worked as a Dietary Aide for the Bracken Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Martha was an avid fan of the UK Wildcats and the Cincinnati Reds and was a member of the Germantown Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Margaret Ann (Terry) French of Brooksville; brother, Jim Moran of Germantown; and sisters, Ann Hickman of Maysville, Barbara (Sam) Cooper of Dover and Bonnie (Ronnie) Cahall of Butler. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Lacey (John) Johnson, Kacey (Mark) Inloes, Grant Moore and Corey Moore; five great-grandchildren, Jesse Johnson, Kimberley Shepherd, Mark Inloes, Kelley Inloes and Matthew Linville; her sister-in-law, Joy Moran; daughter-in-law, Lora Strange; special friends, Ruth and Wanda Hargett; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband, Martha was preceded in death by her son, Bob Moore, who died Dec. 11, 2002; two nephews, Danny Brown and Steve Moran; and four brothers, Arthur Moran, Thomas Moran, Donald Moran and Eugene Moran; four sisters-in-law, Mae Moran, Dorothy Moran, Betty Jo Moran and Geraldine Moran; and one brother-in-law, Everett Hickman.
Services will be on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 1 p.m. at the Chatham Christian Church with Bro. Jackie McElfresh officiating.
Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Augusta.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., also on Saturday, at the church.
