MAYSVILLE — Mark Lee Padgett Sr. went to be with his Heavenly Father on Easter Sunday, which was also his 55th birthday.

Born April 21, 1964, in Maysville, he was the son of the late Marlin Lee Padgett and Patricia Ann Padgett Fox.

Although he was a workaholic, he was dedicated to his family above all else. He was a loving, kind, funny and inspirational individual who enjoyed golfing, riding his motorcycle, going to church and going fishing. He always found time to hit the golf course with a very special cousin, Alasan Henderson. He also enjoyed visiting Kings Island and ice skating with his cousins, Alasan and Alania Henderson and friend, Colton Riggs.

He always made others smile and always put others first.

He leaves behind his two sons, Mark Padgett Jr. and Patrick James Padgett; sister, Sheryl Padgett Smith; brothers, Terry Lennex, Jeff Padgett and Chris (Cindy) Padgett; aunts, Ellen Padgett and Paulette Henderson; one uncle, Jim Henderson whom he called “Unk”; a special friend, April Hammitt; and a host of nieces and nephews and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by a niece, Shayla Padgett Perez; a nephew, Christopher Webster; and many aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held at Brell and Son Funeral Home on Thursday, April 25, 2019, from 5 until 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at Bethany Christian Church, Cabin Creek Road, at 11:30 a.m., Friday, April 26, 2019 with Sam Bevard presiding.

Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.
