MAY’S LICK — Doris Cooper Burton, 82, of May’s Lick, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg.

Mrs. Burton was born in Bracken County on July 16, 1936, daughter of the late James and Gracie Hughes Cooper.

She was a homemaker and a member of Germantown Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Harold C. Burton; a daughter, Darlene (Benny) McNeese; three sons, Jeff (Penny) Burton, Harold Wayne (Shannon) Burton and Danny (Barbara) Burton; seven grandchildren, Todd Miller, Troy Miller, Raejean (Enrique) Lopez, Amanda (Zac) Sutton, Amy (Blake) Burton, Gerry (Sara) Tolbert and Kara (Mike) Anderson; eight great-grandchildren, Clayton and Brook Anderson, Kyndall and Kaiser Sutton, Rosella, Lydia and Phoebe Tolbert and Millie Mullenix; and a sister, Geneva (Dewey) Miller.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and James Cooper; and two sisters, Marcy Wyrick and Aldean McDowell.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday at Palmer Funeral Home and Crematory in May’s Lick with Bro. Kevin Cornette officiating.

Burial will be in the May’s Lick Cemetery.

Visitation will be from Noon until the time of the service Sunday.
