AUGUSTA — Theodore (Ted) Wayne Appelman, age 68, passed away at home Jan. 18, 2019.

He was born Sept. 24, 1950, to the late Charles and Mary Rita Appelman.

Ted, along with his brother, Robert (Bob); and his four nephews, owned and operated Maryview Farms in Augusta. He was a member of Saint Augustine Catholic Church, Kenton Station Golf Course, a Town and Country Bowling League Member and a Jack Casino Gold Member.

In addition to being a lifelong farmer, Ted was an avid bowler, golfer and Nascar fan. He enjoyed planning and taking golf trips, attending Nascar races and gambling outings with his family and friends.

He is survived by his siblings, Bob Appelman (Jane), Mary Ellen Swanger and Ann Linville; his nephews and nieces, David Appelman (Mollie), Donnie Appelman (Susy), Joanne Howard (Darrell), Dale Appelman and Danny Appelman (Tina), Laura Linville (Duke), Ellen Wira (Phil), Molly Schultz (Dusty); and his great-nieces and nephews, Andrew Appelman (Erica), Amy McCord (Adam), Lana Appelman, Meagan Ramsey (Nathan), Luke Howard (Kristen), Alicia Mains (Dray), Sarah Appelman, Grace Appelman, Sam Appelman; Dalton Appelman, Jasmine Poole, Lydia Wira, Abigail Wira, Cecilia Wira, Ellysa Wira, Emma Schultz and Charlie Schultz; and two great-great-nieces, Kenason Appelman and Andi Appelman.

He was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Jack Swanger and Jim Linville; his nephew, Jad Linville; and his great-nephew, Levi Appelman.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at Saint Augustine Church at 10 a.m. on Tuesday followed by a private burial.

Visitation will be 4–9 p.m. on Monday at Moore and Parker Funeral Home in Augusta.
