MAYSVILLE — Keevil M. Hamilton, 92, of Maysville, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at his home.

Mr. Hamilton was retired from General Electric and attended the Mason County Senior Citizen Program. He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country in the U.S. Army.

Keevil was born in Augusta on Oct. 8, 1926, the son of the late Marshall and Lillian Smith Hamilton.

He is survived by his two sons, Roger Hamilton (Jane) of Lebanon, Ohio and Gary Hamilton (Vicki) of Lakeland, Fla.; one stepson, Gary Cooper (Linda) of Maysville; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Wayne Hamilton (Mary), Harold Hamilton (Rosie) and Elmer Hamilton (Margie).

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosemary Hampton Hamilton; his second wife, Margaret Cooper Hamilton; two brothers, Marshall “Bus” Hamilton and Prince Hamilton; and two sisters, Marquierette Jett and Maxine Gilp.

Services for Keevil Hamilton will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019, with Hospice of Hope Chaplain Keith Sargent officiating.

Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service.
