MAYSVILLE — Mary Alice Malone, 76, passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018, at Baptist Health in Lexington.

She was the widow of John Thomas Malone who died April 18, 2009.

Ms. Malone was born in Ripley on Dec. 31, 1941, to the late Roy and Moetta Rice Cropper.

She was a foster grandparent at Straub Elementary for 13 years and prior to that she worked as a cook for 24 years in the cafeteria at St. Patrick School.

Survivors include one daughter, Margaret Malone of Maysville; three grandchildren, Tommy (Amanda) Malone, Marlena (Chad) Malone and Mary Alicia (Millie) Malone; three great-grandchildren, Thomas Lee Malone, Jordann Rae Rich and Amiya Grace Studebaker. She also leaves her faithful companion and beloved kitty, Foofoo.

Services for Mary Malone will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at Brell and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jacob Straub officiating.

Burial will follow in the St. Patrick Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Coty Johnson, Jeff Phillips, Buddy Hensel, Mary Alicia Malone, Donnie Wagner and Larry Parkey.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
