MAYSVILLE — Hollis Emerson Kabler, 63, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe.

He was born in Maysville to the late Hollis Hord and Barbara Ann Blankenship Kabler.

He was retired from Black River and loved to fish, hunt and cut wood in his spare time.

Survivors include two sons, Hollis G. (Carolyn) Kabler of Maysville, Steven L. Kabler of Dover; four grandchildren, Hollis James Kabler, Hayven Renee Kabler, Haylee Grace Kabler and Malaya Renee Kabler; three sisters, Kim Rankin of Maysville, Patty (Rick) Combs of Aberdeen and Valerie Kabler of Germantown; one brother, Tim (Debi) Kabler of Germantown; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Oliver Kabler; a daughter, Segred Kabler; and a brother, Michael Hord Kabler.

Services for Hollis E. Kabler will be held at the Dover Christian Church on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Danny Howard officiating.

Burial will follow in the Rosemont Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
