MAYSVILLE – Edna L. Davenport, 75, passed away Sunday September 16, 2018. She was the widow of Lewis Davenport.

Mrs. Davenport was born in Mason County on January 6, 1943 to the late Leslie Gilbert and Mayme Ruth Lucas Groves. She was retired from Mason County High School where she worked 22 years in the cafeteria. She also worked at the Ripley Shoe Factory and was a foster parent for many years

Survivors include her children, David (Karen) Davenport, Patricia (Charles) Pribble, and Norma (Brent) Rose all of Maysville, Karen (Ray) Haywood of May’s Lick; daughter-in-law, Terri Davenport and son-in-law James Kirkman both of Tollesboro; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lewis, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Kirkman and a son, Charles Davenport. Services for Edna L. Davenport will be held on at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the Faith Assembly of God with Pastors Lon Leland and Jim Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Maysville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
