MAYSVILLE — Jerome “Jerry” Michael Schumacher, 59, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2018, at his home in Maysville.

He was born in Mason County on Jan. 14, 1959, to the late John William and Elizabeth Bonfield Schumacher.

Mr. Schumacher was the Vice President of Security Bank and Trust, a member of Knights of Columbus, member of St. Patrick Church and longtime City Commissioner of Maysville.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Leadingham Schumacher whom he married Nov. 21, 1997. He is also survived by his siblings, Beth A. Schumacher, James P. (Wendy) Schumacher, Joseph E. (Billie) Schumacher, Jane E. (Benny) Young, Elaine (David) Wilhite, Jeffrey L. (Stephanie) Schumacher, Mark A. (Dee) Schumacher, and David W. (Shannon) Schumacher. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Carol Leadingham, Terri Leadingham and Tamara Leadingham, as well as nieces Caroline(Mark Reece)Leadingham and Perry, and Allyson (Tayler) Moore and Eleanor.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, John C. Schumacher; and a brother-in-law, Larry Leadingham.

Mr. Schumacher also leaves behind his Labrador “daughter,” Betsy.

Memorial mass will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018 at St. Patrick Church in Maysville, Ky.
