NOKESVILLE, Va. — Roy Allen Redmond Jr., age 70, of Nokesville, and formerly of Maysville, died on Aug. 8, 2018, at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
He was born on Aug. 2, 1948, in Cincinnati, to the late Roy Allen Redmond Sr. and Alberta Jeanette Gregory Redmond.
He was a 1966 graduate of Mason County High School.
Roy received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Eastern Kentucky University. He joined Federal Government Services in 1973, was a member of Manassas Men’s Club and was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Patricia A. Redmond; his daughter, Amy Kathleen Boazman-Steele and husband, William; his brothers, Dennis David Redmond and Lee Redmond; his sister, Patty Hughes; and his three grandchildren, Ryan, Joseph and Kyle Boazman.
Services will be held at the Maysville Cemetery Chapel on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, at 11 a.m.
Interment will be private.
