MAYSVILLE — Edward W. Purdon, age 74, of Maysville died at his residence surrounded by his family Aug. 29, 2018.
He was formerly employed at US Shoe, Copeland and Maysville Generator.
He was born Dec. 1, 1943, in Maysville to the late Woodrow Wilson and Mary Alice Mack Purdon.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Moore Purdon; five sons, Brian Purdon (Tina) of Tacoma, Wash., Marty Purdon (Tammy) of Fleming County, Matt Purdon (Tracy) of Maysville, Brandon Purdon of Maysville, Samuel Purdon (Aurora) of Lexington and five daughters, Stephanie Watson (John Dorman) of Union, Buffy Purdon (Mike W.) of Ashland, Nancy Herrera (Ramses) of Arizona, Lynn Tumlin (Daniel) of Flemingsburg, Mary Purdon (Lou) of Erlanger; 22 grandchildren; three brothers, David Purdon, Richard Purdon, Billy Purdon, all of Maysville; and a sister, Patsy Florence of West Union, Ohio.
Beside his parents, Edward was preceded in death by a son, Robbie Watson; a brother, Ernie Purdon; and a sister, Jean Florence.
Services for Edward Purdon will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018, at Brell and Son Funeral Home with Chaplin Keith Sergeant officiating.
Burial will follow in Maysville-Mason County Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
