MAYSVILLE — Dennis R. McDowell (Denny), 64, of Maysville, died at 3:45 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11 at Hospice of Hope in Maysville surrounded by friends and family. Denny was born in Maysville on Aug. 19, 1953 to the late Stanley and Minnie Galbraith McDowell.
Denny is survived by his wife of 31 years, Connie Wilson McDowell, children Dennis R. McDowell Jr., Kyle R. McDowell and Sheila A. McDowell Williams.
Also surviving are his grandchildren Taylor, Lyndsay, Dustin, Tanya, Cameron, Cadence, great-grandchild Logan, sisters Jo Anna Bowers and her husband Gary of Aberdeen, Ohio, Melinda Lawrence and her husband Mark of Dayton, Ohio, Connie Dixon and her husband Jerry of Maysville, sisters-in-law Marceline McDowell of Taylors, South Carolina, Joyce Davis of Kingston, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Denny was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Wallingford, his brothers Edgar McDowell and Monte McDowell, and his nephew Michael McDowell.
Denny was a retired truck driver and lived his whole life in Maysville. He was a diehard Kentucky Wildcat fan and a Cincinnati Bengals fan.
Denny’s family extends a heartfelt thank-you to Mike Ravencraft for his support and friendship.
