MAYSVILLE — Carolyn Gay Huber Kleier, 81, widow of the late Edwin Henry Kleier, passed away Monday June 18, 2018, at home.
A native of Maysville, she was the daughter of the late Richard E. and Geneva Osborne Huber.
She graduated from St. Patrick High School. She attended the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. She worked as a recorder for the Burley Tobacco Market, where she met her husband of 46 years. She held her Real Estate and Broker’s license and co-owned Kleier Homes, Inc. Later in life, she ran a beautiful Bed and Breakfast, Kleier Haus, and served country ham and gravy to all her guests. She served on the Mason Co. Architectural Review board for many years.
She had a passion for garage sales, antiquing and oriental rugs. She was a world advocate for chewing quietly, never crunching ice and could be seen taking someone’s gum away, when necessary.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan (Steve) Jennings and Page (Dale) Thomas; three grandchildren, Whit Jennings, Samantha Jennings and Joshua Thomas; four brothers, Dick (Donna) Huber, Chick (deceased) (Judy) Huber, Declan (Molly) Huber and Ricky (Sandy) Huber; three sisters, Sue (deceased) (Ferdie deceased) Case, Joan (Paul-deceased) Muehlbauer and Judy (Robert) Vance.
There are a great many extraordinary family and friends of Gay and we hope you come meet them at the visitation and mass at St. Patrick Church in Maysville.
Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery to follow.
Visitation is from 5-7 p.m., on Wednesday evening, June 20, followed by funeral mass at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made the St. Patrick Church Air Conditioning fund.
