MAYSVILLE — Roger Dale Stafford, 73, of Maysville, went to be with his heavenly father on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Roger was born on April 3, 1945, to the late Nile and Mary Belcher Stafford.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Teresia Kay McDowell Stafford; his sons, Gregory Dale and Wesley Alan Stafford.
Roger spent his life as a devoted husband and father. He served his country in the United States Army, and spent many years with Stafford Sanitation, farming and techno-trim. He loved golfing, spending time on his farm and being with his family. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Roger struggled in the last few months of his life as his earthly body failed him, but he has a new, never failing body, and free from pain. He had made his “reservations” to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He looked forward to being reunited with Teresia and his sons, and at his passing he said “I’ll see you again.”
He leaves to Mourn his passing his children, Eric (Nina) Stafford of Mount Sterling and Tracie (Nicky) Roark of Maysville; a special step-daughter, Tiffany Bowers; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Josh, Katie, Chase, Carter and Payton; and three great-grandchildren, until we meet again dad, breathe easy.
Memorial services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Germantown Baptist Church, 46 Water Street, Germantown, KY 41044.
Visitation will be held from 6–7 p.m. on Thursday at the church.
The Palmer Funeral Home and Crematory of May’s Lick is assisting the family.
